This work is a collaboration between three artists of the Utagawa school. The top panel of the horticulturalist in Kayaba-cho is by Kunihisa. The bottom-right panel of Motoyuishi Bunshichi, a character played here by Iwai Shijaku, is by Toyokuni III. The bottom-left panel of the bustling scene at the horticulturalist’s shop in Kayaba-cho is by Hiroshige. Kunihisa’s horticulturalist is offering a woman a potted peony decorated with an imprint pattern.
