This painting shows a number of women appreciating suiseki viewing stones, ikebana (traditional Japanese flower arrangement), and bonsai what may be a high class Japanese restaurant or a well appointed Japanese style room. The picture has a summer coolness about it aided in part by the seemingly transparent cloths of the women and the bamboo and lady palm growing outside of the window.
