A large hallow has opened in this stone’s rough, black surface. The inside of this hole has a red tint due to its iron content, giving it the appearance of cooled and hardened molten rock. Due to its strange and mystical appearance, it was given the name Shinsen-kyō, a place where immortals are said to live.
