This stone boasts a rugged surface, telling of the many years it spent being beaten by the wind and rain. This is an example of a mizutamari, or waterpool. Such stones are called so because of the hollowed-out section found at their centers that looks like it could hold water. This stone has been titled Ryūen, meaning Dragon Abyss, as the viewer can imagine a mystic landscape in which a dragon may be found lying in wait.
