The Abe River, which runs from North to South in Shizuoka Prefecture, is regarded as a treasure trove of suiseki stones. There is a white crystallized pattern that can be seen on its surface, creating a quiet scene, almost as if snow is slowly descending onto an old apricot tree with a single flower blooming on the tip of one of its stretched-out branches.
