This suiseki stone was taken from Moji in Fukuoka Prefecture. This type of stone is called a baika-seki, meaning an apricot stone. As the name suggests, the white crystals on its surface resemble apricots in bloom. The stone is shaped like a small house, so one could imagine an apricot flower falling from the roof of a small cottage.
