This deciduous tree is native to the Korean peninsula and parts of Honshu. A beautiful highlight of this bonsai is the way in which its trunk rises from the fiercely upheaved root base gripping the earth to spread out as it grows up. Although medium in size, this bonsai carries the air of a grand large tree.
