This is a needle juniper with its characteristic sharp needles. In this piece we see that the intensely twisting trunk base has mostly turned to SHARI, dead white wood, as though the tree sits at a mountain peak and has been covered with frost. All of this produces sharpness to the beauty of this bonsai.
