In this large piece, many Japanese white pine trunks have been raised together over a large stone slab, giving it the appearance of a deep coniferous forest filled with many white pines that have grown close to thrive in a harsh alpine environment. All of these trunks that rise up to various sizes are actually all from the same tree which has split off in the soil, making this piece a ne-tsuranari bonsai.
