This large piece presents 5 trunks rising with branches thick with rich leaves spreading out and a spectacular rock-like root base, all of which come together to drop a clear swathe of shade below this Japanese maple. Because of the dignity and high air of grace this bonsai has, it was titled Kouga, meaning elegance.
