This bonsai is in the cascade style and boasts a trunk that rises then drops at a sharp angle. The layers of luxuriant leaves at the end of the branch that come down call to mind a mist that floats and sways as it travels through a gorge. This is where the tree gets its name “Hakuun”, which means white cloud.
